If you’re in DC at the beginning of next week, you will want to avoid any of the attractions around the Washington Convention Center. The nuclear security summit is going to be held next week, and traffic is expected to be a nightmare. Street closings will begin Sunday night and will not reopen until Tuesday evening. Unless you live or work in the area, you will not be allowed to enter the area.
The Mt. Vernon Square Metro stop will be closed, and some yellow line trains will be affected. Security in all the Metro stations is sure to be heavy.
